Beizhai red apricot is produced in Beizhai Village, Nandu Lehe Town, Pinggu District. Due to the unique geographical location, soil conditions and climate environment, the unique quality of "Beizhai Red Apricot" has been created. It has the following eight characteristics: first, the fruit is large and round, with an average fruit weight of 40 grams and a maximum fruit weight of 110 grams; Second, the color is gorgeous, and the yellow is red; Third, the skin is thin, the meat is thick and the core is small; Fourth, there are many delicious juices, sweet and sour, and the sugar content is 12%-16.5%; Fifth, fresh food does not hurt the stomach, and the mouth is fragrant after eating; Sixth, the dry kernel is sweet, and the almond is crispy and delicious; Seventh, it is rich in nutrients, including vitamin C, carotene, fructose, fruit acid, protein, calcium, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients; Eighth, it is resistant to storage and transportation, and can be stored for about 20 days at room temperature. Long-distance transportation is not oily. As early as 1982, it was identified as a famous, special and excellent product by Beijing Fruit Appraisal Association. In 1995, it obtained the "green food" certification issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. Beizhai red apricot is a variety bred by Beizhai people themselves. Around the 1950s, the local villagers first discovered that one or two apricots were particularly delicious, which, in their words, was the result of the "tooth change" of wild apricots. Beizhai people grafted it, from one or two classes to tens of thousands of acres. Strange things, such as moving the apricot tree in Beizhai out of the mountain pass for cultivation, have changed its taste. Beizhai red apricot is a geographical indication protection product.
