Pinggu peach

Pinggu is the largest peach town in China, and promoting the comprehensive breeding of fruit, grass and livestock is only one of the forms of developing ecological economy in the whole region. Since the 1990s, Pinggu District has widely promoted fruit production represented by big peaches. Up to now, 408,000 mu of fruit trees have been developed in the whole region, and eight fruit bases led by big peaches have been built, accounting for nearly half of the forested area in the whole region. The investigation of forestry resources shows that the forest coverage rate in Pinggu District is 60.49%, which is 25.2 percentage points higher than the average level of the whole city and reaches the level of developed countries in the world. Pinggu Peach is a geographical indication protection product.
