Lihua village pear

Lihua Village is located on the east bank of Yongding River in the southwest suburb of Beijing, with 330 households and 960 people. Lihua Village has a total cultivated land area of 5,000 mu, including 3,500 mu of fruit trees over 100 years old, and there are more than 100,000 new and old fruit trees. The village makes a living by planting fruit trees, with an annual fruit output of more than 3 million Jin. It is the only professional fruit tree village in Beijing. The 10,000-mu pear orchard in Lihua Village is an ancient pear tree community with the largest planting area, the earliest flowering and the most varieties in Beijing. There are more than 40 varieties of pear trees, among which the 417-year-old Gong pear tree was named "Golden Yellow" by the emperor. Relying on this resource, the village has successfully held the 16th 10,000-mu pear garden flower viewing festival and picking festival. Lihua Village was named "Advanced Village for Developing Rural Tourism in Beijing Suburb" by Beijing.
