Xinshuanghe cherry

In the tide of reform and opening up in the last century, people in Hebei Province were keenly aware of the potential of agricultural commodity economy. In 1986, Shuanghe Orchard, the first large cherry plantation covering an area of 600 mu in Shunyi District, was built. At the beginning of orchard development, Hebei villagers actively cooperated with the Fruit Research Institute of Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, vigorously promoted more than 10 advanced technologies, such as soil improvement and fertilization, tree structure transformation with high photosynthetic efficiency, and took the lead in introducing more than 100 excellent cherry varieties at home and abroad. At the same time, they built a nursery of high-quality cherry rootstocks and germplasm resources, and reserved excellent cherry varieties suitable for planting in Beijing, laying a solid foundation for the development and expansion of cherry industry in hebei village and Shunyi District. In 2004, hebei village Shuanghe Orchard has become a comprehensive orchard integrating ecological demonstration, flower and fruit appreciation, picking and amusement, leisure and holiday, and income generation, and passed the ISO14001 international environmental quality certification. In 2007, villagers in Hebei Province owned their first registered trademark-"Xinshuanghe". In 2008, Shuanghe Orchard in hebei village obtained the certification of organic products issued by China Quality Certification Center, and popularized the experience in the whole village, realizing the organization of thousands of acres of cherries. In the same year, hebei village Cherry was selected as "Recommended Fruit for the Olympic Games" and cherry orchard, hebei village became the "Special Supply Base for Olympic Fruits". In 2009, "Beijing Cherry King" was born in hebei village. Now, hebei village has successfully built three high-quality cherry brands, such as Xinshuanghe, Rainbow and beginning of life. During May and June every year, there is an endless stream of people visiting hebei village for sightseeing and picking cherries. According to statistics, the village receives more than 90,000 tourists every year, and cherry culture in the suburbs of Beijing has become a fashion for citizens' leisure and entertainment.
